Potentia Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 + Benefits
Business Analysis for the emerging consultant Being THE consultancy to the financial services sector has led this large team to innovation and solutions provision to most of the big names in New Zealand who have a presence here. Their reputation speaks volumes and the increase in business has been positive but steady over the last few years. The technical skills kept in-house are first class, and the capabilities of the business and its reach continue to grow.
The hunt is on for an analytical mind to champion the role sitting between the technical prowess and client-side. This role encompasses:
The gathering of requirements from the client side, working to understand the business needs and translate these into technical and functional specifications for the development team
Work with the clients to understand their existing systems, why they have evolved and identify the areas they require attention
Maintain close relationships with the business and client-side to better provide the support on implementation and the ongoing needs of the clients, and how to best fulfil these
Using your industry knowledge of the financial sector, give a best of breed quality to the solutions that head out the door of the consultancy
Spread these efforts across a number of implementations and developments as needed
So the key things to fulfil this role? Broken down they come into three key parts: Financial services experience: A good grounding either in a consultancy dealing with financial services sector or in-house for a large end-user would be ideal. Analysis: Ability to utilise this domain knowledge and dig deep into the business of the clients, examining their needs and producing winning analysis. Relationship maintenance: Establishing clear paths of communications essential to gathering requirements and the ongoing support of these implemented applications is tantamount to this. Evidence of the ability to create and nurture this is essential. Knowledge of SDLC and application implementation are expected as well. For more information please contact Julian on (09)368-5111.
