IP Telephony Consultant

A leading New Zealand telecommunications company is seeking a VOIP Specialist to develop and support IP telephony solutions, providing specialist technical, commercial and consultative expertise to their sales teams, solution specialists and customers.

You background should include solid experience in voice solutions within the telecommunications industry, technical support and the provision of consultancy services to customers.

To be successful in this position you would have a good proportion of the following skills:


Switching: PABX, ACD, Centrex, Call Centres, IPT, applications
Signalling: CAS, CCS, SS7, DPNSS, Q-Sig, VOIP
Mobile: GSM, CDMA, WAP applications, LMDS, SSR
Protocols: TCP⁄IP, SNA, SDLC, HDLC, OSI, Novell IPX, Routing Protocols
Interfaces: V.24, X.21, V.35, G.703, optical, Ethernet, Token Ring
Switching: ATM, Frame Relay, Ethernet and Token Ring, Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Servers, Multiplex Equipment, PABX's, All other telecommunications equipment.
LAN⁄WAN implementation
Design, Analysis, Functionality, Managed Services and reporting
Fibre-optics, SDH, PDH, Digital Microwave Radio, Copper
Internet: SMTP, SNMP, DNS, BGP4, Security Techniques, Encryption
A Cisco certification is essential for this position especially:


CCNA ⁄ CCDA
CCNP, CCDP or CCIE would be preferred.
