Be part of an incredible growth opportunity in a newly created, heavily strategic, Head of Tax position.
The Company
This unique investment fund accumulates and invests large contributions from the government to partially provide for the future cost of New Zealand Superannuation. The Government plans to allocate around $2 billion per year to the Fund over the next 20 years. The Fund began investing in September 2003 with $2.4 billion in cash. As at 31 March 2006 the Fund's assets totalled $9.5 billion. It is expected to grow to around $120 billion by 2025, making it one of the largest funds in Australasia.
The Role
To help manage this incredible growth they are looking for a Head of Tax. Reporting directly to the CFO and being supported by the financial accountant, you will be responsible for managing all of the company's tax compliance and strategy issues, including, tax planning, formulating policy and minimising foreign tax leakage. Additionally you will manage all tax relationships (both on and offshore) and assist the CFO in managing the legal relationships for the company.

The Candidate
If you are a CA qualified tax professional with 7 plus years experience and have previous exposure to the financial services industry, a good understanding of NZ tax, are able to think conceptually and are a problem solver this unique opportunity may suit you to a tee.
