Our client is New Zealand's largest energy retailer with electricity and gas customers located predominantly in the North Island. As a state-owned enterprise, they operate a broad electricity portfolio, which includes the largest thermal power station based in Huntly. Their success is built on a reputation of excellence, quality and efficiency along with their investment in its people.
Reporting to the Revenue Manager, this is a key analyst role is working within a top calibre team. Your prime responsibility will be assisting in the design of retail, electricity, gas and internet pricing in both the commercial and household segments. Additionally, you will be involved in the pricing, implementation and providing commentary on the commercial environment. Another significant responsibility will be undertaking research and report on trends in the electricity/gas markets and assisting with the budgeting and forecasting for energy gross margins.
Ideally, you will possess a tertiary qualification in Finance and/or Economics with at least 2 years post qualification experience in a commercial environment. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and analytical skills. You possess strong business acumen, have a ¡°forward-thinking¡± attitude but more importantly, you can ¡°think outside the square¡±. You Finally, you will be experienced in financial modeling and be an intermediate with Microsoft Excel and possess basic Access skills.
