Description |
** Cultured Individuals Required! Company: Aotea Pathology Location: Wellington City, Wellington Type: Permanent
Aotea Pathology has 3 vacancies (1 full time permanent and 2 full time parental leave cover) in the Microbiology and Molecular Biology teams, and we are looking for cultured individuals to fill them. With your knowledge and practical experience with science, you will be a detail orientated individual; an excellent communicator who works well in a team environment.
Registered Scientist (Microbiology) Full time permanent, to start immediately
- Regular rotation into the Molecular Biology department - In Microbiology you will need a knowledge of cultures, microscopy, stains and other reagents, antibiotic susceptibility testing, EIA - In Molecular Biology you will need a knowledge of PCR processes and DNA extractions, assay development and testing, QC work
Registered Scientist (Molecular Biology) Full time parental leave cover 6-12 months, starting April/May
- In Molecular Biology you will need a knowledge of PCR processes and DNA extractions, assays development and testing, QC work
Laboratory Assistant (Microbiology and Molecular Biology) Full time parental leave cover 6-12 months, starting April/May
- This role is half time in each department - You will need to have a good knowledge of general laboratory processes as you will be processing and preparing patient specimens, maintaining equipment and performing other administrative and support tasks
