West Auckland Family Services is a highly respected provider of family support services and we are looking for a full time social worker to join our dedicated team.
The successful applicant will be solutions focussed, have proven experience in care and protection issues and strengths based practice as well as outstanding relationship and communication skills.
This is a new position that requires an experienced person with proven skills to:
•Plan and facilitate a targeted parenting programme
•Provide short term counselling to some children in care
•Provide formal supervision to a group of caregivers
We require a minimum of a Level B social work qualification and you will need to be aligned to our philosophical approach of recognising existing strengths and instilling hope in families. Previous experience in working with the impact of trauma on children would be an advantage.
