Japanese Fusion Restaurant
2 Locations: 258B Karangahape Road & Food Alley in Albert Street
Auckland City
Chief Chef & Restaurant Manager
」 Base Salary with additional sales incentives
」 Chef experience as well as management experience required
」 Japanese food experience or qualification necessary
」 Past experience in managing or working in a Japanese restaurant required
Our client is a well known Japanese fusion restaurant based in the popular K Road and also having a busy food court shop at Food Alley foodcourt in Albert Street in Auckland City.
Umaiya is expanding into opening additional shops in near future and is looking for an experienced chef and manager.
The position will require work experience as a chef in a Japanese restaurant business and must be conversant in English. Other language skills in Japanese and/or Korean will be beneficial but not required.
Your main responsibilities will include:
」 Day to day staff management at both restaurants
」 Creating and developing new fusion (Japanese based) foods menu items.
」 Purchasing and controlling the kitchen inventory for both restaurants
The ideal candidate should have in depth knowledge in Japanese foods and preferably be able to run a restaurant by himself / herself.
