Description |
Our client is New Zealand’s largest and best-precast concrete solutions provider. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Structural Engineer to join their Technical Services Team in Penrose. The role is to provide a leading edge design service to their nationally located manufacturing sites as well as managing resolution of technical issues associated with production and site installation.
Requirements include:
Tertiary qualification
Experienced Chartered or near Chartered designer
Ability to manage your own projects
Strong background in structural engineering
Confident communicator with the ability to liaise effectively with people at all levels of the organisation as well as external parties
Ideally you will be proactive, have strong relationship building skills and the ability to make quick decisions when necessary
As well as a demonstrable technical knowledge, ideally you will have construction experience and be commercially and contractually aware
Role includes:
Design and structural analysis
National travel to the 10 manufacturing facilities and associated projects
Research and development
Client liaison
Some report writing
The projects include residential and commercial, flooring, concrete panels, reservoirs, power poles, bridge beams; bus way beams, to name a few.
